NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA June 10, 2010 - Despite recessionary times, a New Orleans based executive has been behind the significant growth of several emerging businesses serving the fitness industry. Mr. O’Rourke has seen success before, consulting to and growing brands in the franchise industry like Smoothie King and Planet Smoothie, where he was CEO. He served as Chief Financial Officer to Al Copeland Investments, creator and former owner of the Popeye’s and Church’s chains and has been a highly sought after consultant in IT, international trade, finance, franchising and fitness. After becoming more involved in thefitness and wellness industry in early 2000, O’Rourke eventually became CSO and partner of Fitmarc in 2006, he also founded Integerus, LLC in 2008 to focus on helping fitness and wellness organizations deal with and take advantage of emerging technologies. 

Mr. O’Rourke, a Louisiana native, has an extensive history of delivering innovative knowledge and support to both fast growing small and large established enterprises. He has been a featured speaker at fitness industry conferences, is a published writer and serves as Co-Chair of the Medical Fitness Association’s education committee.
