Fitmarc is pleased to announce that Cary Wing, EdD, will join the company as Director of Business Development for Medical Fitness beginning March 1st of this year. Dr. Wing has been a leader and visionary in the medical fitness industry for over 25 years and most recently served as Executive Director of the Medical Fitness Association (MFA). Utilizing the expertise and services of Fitmarc, Cary will assist medically integrated fitness facilities in developing strategies for business growth and success, particularly in the areas of physician referral programs, facility certification, and outcome measurements. Fitmarc serves over 600 fitness facilities and shares strategic partnerships globally with brands like Les Mills, PT On the Net, Star Trac, TRX, Polar and others.

Dr. Wing has been directly involved in the development and management of medically integrated health and fitness centers, and has served on the Editorial Board of the Medical Fitness Association’s Standards & Guidelines for Medical Fitness Center Facilities. In addition, she is currently an Associate Editor of the Fourth Edition of ACSM’s Health/Fitness Facility Standards and Guidelines (2011), and Chair of the Inclusive Fitness Coalition Health & Fitness Club Workgroup. She lectures and writes extensively on the medical fitness industry and the medical fitness model.
